ZUFI is a Youthstart project realized by the RAA (Regional Centers to Support Children and Youth Peolple from Migrant Origin) in order to create future perspectives for young Italians living in Germany. ZUFI project takes place in three RAAs Communities -Dortmund, Krefeld and Wuppertal - and is coordinated by the RAA-Hauptstelle Essen.
The target group is made up of young people of Italian origin living in Dortmund, Krefeld und Wuppertal aged from 16 up to 20 without or with little formal qualifications. Creating future perspectives for young Italians is realized by means of orientation, advice and finding places in the vocational training and labour markets.
The aim of the project is above all to facilitate the transition from school to job for young people of italian origin. This includes to motivate young people to gain school-leaving qualifications, to participate in activities which help to preparate them for work and to begin and complete vocational training. A very important part by the motivation of young people of Italian origin is the work with their families, which encourage their children to start vocational training and to obtain further qualification.
